Friends of the Kimberley Public Library
Have you noticed how warm and welcoming the Library is? Have you sat in one of the four comfortable chairs in the lounge? Has your child enjoyed the furniture in the children’s section? Have you noticed our new signs on the outer two corners of the Library?
These are just a few of the projects for which the Friends have worked hard to raise money.
The Friends of the Kimberley Public Library Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting and enhancing services and programs offered by the Library.
A committed group of community-minded individuals have volunteered their time and energies to this end.
Our two biggest fundraisers are:
- Read-a-Thon: students collect pledges and then assemble at the library to read. Celebrity readers also participate and the Friends host a giant book sale
- Literacy Golf Tournament co-hosted with CBAL Kimberley Community Literacy. Generous local businesses provide incredible prizes.
